Used widely in the United States, the Ahrens Fox Fire Engine was a unique piece of equipment in Europe. The city of Rotterdam was the only dutch city to use these Fire Engines in The Netherlands. Rotterdam ordered 7 Fire Engines of which one was destroyed on may 10th 1940 during the attacks of the german airforce on Rotterdam in WW2. The iconic design of the Ahrens Fox Fire Engines draw much attention and are an important part of Fire Fighting heritage. In the United States, in the Netherlands and world-wide.
